One of the main priorities for the next European Commission must be to provide a healthy and comfortable living environment across Europe. Achieving this will require a holistic approach that goes far beyond solely tackling the housing crisis, but also addresses Europe’s rising energy poverty levels and the looming climate crisis.
Initiatives such as Build Better Lives campaign and the RE-SKIN project are advocating for solutions that help European homes become more energy efficient, climate-resilient and produce significantly less emissions. However, these solutions need to be implemented in a holistic manner that also addresses the deepening housing crisis and rising energy poverty levels. Doing so can help save thousands of lives in the future and help Build Better Lives for all.
