In June, several countries launched a platform of action to tax premium travels and private jets during the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (Seville, Spain). Ahead of COP30, CAN Europe wrote to Finance, Climate and Transport Ministers outlining the value of the initiative, and recommendations to engage. COP30 could be a key moment for additional countries to join the initiative and drive forward progress towards implementation.
