We believe access to clean, affordable energy is a basic right.

We can’t live healthy, safe and dignified lives without it. Everyone, no matter where you live, or where you come from, deserves a decent, safe, warm home this winter.

In winter 2022-2023, we saw tens of millions of people across Europe fall into energy poverty with 9.3% of the EU population unable to keep their homes adequately warm in 2022, up from 6.9% the year before. Many households routinely went without daily basic needs like light or warmth, and many people reported worsening mental and physical health, or being unable
to meet their bills on time – or at all.
