First energy community in Romania: yes we need more!

Cooperativa de Energie (CdE) is the first Romanian energy community, launched in October 2019, by 15 members, controlled and owned directly by citizens participating in the local energy transition. Now it has over 700 members, from all over the country and abroad. By the contribution of its members, CdE acquired in May 2021 an existing energy company, becoming the first Romanian 100% green energy supplier, with certificates of origin. It offers a fair and transparent price, with quality customer service. Shortly, through its members, CdE will invest in green energy capacities, especially in solar farms.
