Largest Citizens Initiative: Windpark Krammer (Netherlands)

Windpark Krammer is the largest citizens’ initiative in the Netherlands. The nearly 5000 members of the Zeeuwind and Deltawind cooperatives have taken the initiative to develop this wind farm on and around the Krammer locks. It has been developed with respect for local biodiversity and serious efforts for nature restoration and protection. With 33 wind turbines online, it powers around 75,000 households. An inspiring initiative of combining innovation, technology, and local participation!
