EU ministers responsible for trade, economy, industry, research, innovation and space meet on September 24th for the Competitiveness Council, where they will discuss key files including the Industrial Accelerator Act, the 28th regime and the European Competitiveness Fund.
Ahead of the meeting, CAN Europe has sent a letter to Ministers calling for a clean industrial policy that delivers on the transformation promised by the Clean Industrial Deal.

The urgency is clear. This summer’s consecutive heatwaves caused at least 35,000 excess deaths across Europe, while extreme weather is estimated to have cost the European economy around €180 billion through lost productivity and disruption to food, energy and transport – equivalent to around 1% of EU GDP.
